Product information

The smooth vat is made to order using the cord-throwing technique. The corded structure is first positioned on a clay base that will form the bottom of the pot. The clay is then applied using the "throwing" method: this technique involves throwing handfuls of clay by hand over the entire corded surface. Finally, the wall is smoothed using an external template. Personalize your pottery to your liking with different sizes, textures, or colors of clay or glaze.

Please allow 6 weeks for production.

Terracotta is the ideal material for the well-being of your plants. It is also an excellent thermal insulator. In summer, it helps keep the roots cool, while in winter, it protects them from the cold. Plants thus benefit from an optimal environment for healthy growth all year round.

Terracotta is a porous material. When you plant and water the plant afterward, the terracotta will absorb moisture unevenly and in a circular pattern through capillary action, which explains the appearance of halos. There will therefore be damp and dry areas, resulting in a very uneven patina. For this reason, it is important to thoroughly water the terracotta, both indoors and outdoors, before your first planting so that the terracotta absorbs moisture evenly and the patina becomes more uniform. It is possible that whitish marks may appear: these are salts from the soil being released for two reasons:

- hard water

- some potting mixes cause a chemical reaction that releases salts.

To effectively reduce these white marks, we recommend spraying pure white vinegar around the plant, several times if necessary.

Our pottery is carefully packaged and protected on a pallet to ensure safe transport.
